Known issues

Note: extremely important. If you are working in Rig Manager with 2 Windows open E.G. one focused on performance slots and one focused on Rigs, or you are in the Window that contains Rigs, all of the HotSpotClicker support except for the keystroke that is used to navigate you into the tree view, Control Plus Shift Plus the letter M, will fail. That is because the Rig Editor is not visible in the Window that contains rigs. There is nothing we can do about this. Simply use all of the HotSpotClicker support in the Window that contains Performance Slots, making sure to first press the tab key once in order to be focused in that Window. and all should work as advertised. If not, then on rare occasions it is sometimes necessary to maximize the Window. Not sure why it is necessary to do this.

The Amp Model button that is used to select the Kemper Generic or Liquid Profile Amp model pre-sets in the Amp and Cabinet Pre-sets Spot Ring will not work if amplifier is not selected. You can select the amplifier button with the Rig Manager keystroke by using the letter A.

The HSC sets will only work on a screen resolution up to 1920 X 1024.

Rig Manager is divided into two separate Window areas. Currently there is no keystroke that moves keyboard focus between Rig Manager and Rig Editor. In order to perform any editing on the Kemper, we need to move keyboard focus to the Rig Editor. To do that, press the HotSpotClicker keystroke, Control Plus Shift Plus P.

It is necessary to do this in order to make the built-in Rig Manager Windows keystrokes for editing active. You can then use any FX slots by pressing numbers 1 through 8 on the top row of your computer keyboard although you won't hear that you have for example selected slot 1. However, pressing the pre-set key will let you know that is where the focus is because depending on what you have selected, the options change within the preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-sets menu. For example, if you then press the letter A for Amp, C for Cabinet, numbers 1 through 8 on the top row of your computer keyboard for FX Slots 1 through 8, I for Input, and O for Output, then the options in the pre-set’s menu change. If you need to move back to the Rig Manager portion of the Window, press the HotSpotClicker keystroke: Control Plus Shift Plus the letter M. This will place you back into the tree view however, you shall have to check where you are although you can use the Up and Down Arrow keys to navigate. Pressing the Home key will place you at the "all rigs" option. You can then use the down arrow key to navigate to the option that you want E.G. the rigs on the Rig Exchange, your Profiler or Local Library. Then press the Tab key once to navigate into the list.

Once in the list, to get Jaws to correctly read what it is focused on, press the Rig Manager Windows keystrokes, the End key followed by the home key. You can then press down, and Up Arrow keys and Jaws will read correctly. You can use the keystroke Shift Plus Tab to get back into the tree view. When in the tree view, pressing the End key places you into the local library where your performances are stored. Pressing the up-Arrow key once will place you into the list of performances that are stored on your Profiler. Then press the Tab key once to navigate into the list. Once in the list, to get Jaws to correctly read what it is focused on, press the End key then the home key. You can then press down, and Up Arrow keys and Jaws will read correctly. You can use the keystroke Shift Tab to get back into the tree view.

The HotSpotClicker keystroke: Control Plus Shift Plus M is also extremely useful if you get stuck in a tab order or edit field which you will. For example, if you want to find out which amp a specific Profile is using then you will get stuck in the tab order as pressing the escape key, doesn't cause keyboard focus to exit edit fields. Also, if you press the Rig Manager keystroke, Control F in order to find a Rig-on-Rig Exchange, then after typing the rig name in you will have to press the HotSpotClicker keystroke Control Plus Shift Plus M as you will be stuck in the edit field.

I recommend working in the Rig Manager with two Windows open. One focused on the performance slots and a second focused on rigs. You can bring up a new Window by pressing the Rig Manager keystroke, Control plus the letter N.

You can then easily move between both Windows by using Alt Tab and if you are focused over a specific performance slot, you can load a rig into the Editor if you want to preview it by pressing the Rig Manager Windows keystroke Control plus Enter and standard Windows keystrokes work for copying and pasting, Control Plus C to copy and Control Plus V to paste. You can edit a rig when it is loaded into the editor in Rig Manager. Pressing Shift Plus Enter stores the rig in the profiler although you may wish to alter the rig first with your own effects pre-sets and other settings.

Note: rigs available on the Rig Exchange are only available if you have checked the box for that option in preferences in Rig Manager. You can access preferences by pressing the Rig Manager Windows keystroke, Control plus the letter P.

I haven't added a "Store Performance In Library" HotSpot is this is not necessary due to the fact that you can copy a and paste a performance from anywhere using standard Windows keystrokes. You can also easily add a folder to your library for performances, pre-sets etc by pressing the applications key when in the tree view however, when doing this, remember that your mileage may vary. E.G. sometimes the location in the tree view needs to be open, sometimes not. Either way, pressing the applications key will do one of 2 things. open a menu where you can create a folder (expected behaviour) or, open a dropdown menu that opens a second Rig Manager Window. Pressing function key F2 when over a folder name allows you to rename a folder.

This HSC set contains 7 spot rings or, tab orders. Control Plus Alt Plus Tab can be used to navigate forward through a ring and control Plus Alt Plus Shift Plus Tab can be used to move backwards. Control Windows Alt Tab can be used to move forward through the ring order and Alt Control Shift Windows Tab, can be used to move backwards through the ring order.
